
BACKGROUND: BAMST was founded in 1986 after the organisation of the 32nd EMMRW in Ghent, Belgium.The organizing committee of this conference formed a permanent scientific society of Belgian Scientists working on Meat (vzw-asbl)
The EMMRW (European Meetings of Meat Research Workers, annual conferences on Meat) changed to ICoMST (International Conference on Meat Science and Technology) from 1987 on.
AIM: The association has the objective to contribute to the promotion of and the cooperation with research, education and information in the area of Meat and Meat products.
